OK, I am desperately looking for more neighbours on Farmville.

I need 15 and I only have 10 to buy a bigger farm.

Anyone playing the game already and can freely admit to being addicted (the first step to recovery), please be my friend and neighbour.

For those on FaceBook who do not wish to be annoyed by Farmville you can load the game, add me (and others) as neighbor then block it out using the setting on Facebook. Vicki has posted about blocking I think. (That would be such a kindness indeed.)

You can find me on FaceBook here. My ID is 630492433.

Anyone else looking neighbours on Farmville might like to add their names/ID here also. :)

I promise to be a really nice neighbour :D

Kind, regards, nodrog.

Hi Kueh! Welcome to the crazy world of facebook.

I am friends with Gordon, look for me under his friends list. I'll be on vacation for a week, so won't be able to check in until I get back.

And Mr. G....60 neighbors???? I've been playing this game for over a year and I don't even have that many. How do you keep up with them all?

People, Facebook is to keep up friendships... not to play games...

So, if you are up to inviting me I an Grieta Lindeque.

PLEASE don't send me farmville requests to facebook, since I fb from my mobile, and farmville is to large for the little guy's brain. It makes him freeze and then I have to take the battery out, and put it back in, and switch it on, and put in my pin, and by this time I'm so annoyed that I wanna strangle any cows that should wander over onto my property.

;-)

Grieta

I'd love to be your neighbour Gordie  but the last thing I need is a new addiction. :D Is there a Facebook Games Anonymous chapter running yet? I have been on and off Facebook so many times it's a wonder they'll even let me back in. Now I check in to see what my friends and relatives who don't have time to call me are doing. But farming and fishing are not my forte. I've seen you there though as some of your friends are my friends.

Grieta;

The key is to block apps.

Just click on the link for the app, then on the left will be a Block Application link. I've blocked Mafia Wars and just about every restaurant/city/island/zoo/aquarium out there.

Hi All

Another catch up.

It is lovely to see some 5L2F folk in the digital farming community.

Personally, I mostly play Farmville on the iPhone. It allows me to jump in and out fairly efficiently as plowing, sowing and harvesting is a very much speedier process in this format. It's a bit buggy at the moment and not all functions exist as for the computer version. Overall I probably would not use it but for the ease afforded by the iPhone. (This is probably a clear indication of deep seated addiction and denial, so to any of you wishing to warn me of this "I hear you before you speak.".)

Glad to see Kueh ("Happy Angel") putting in a vibrant and worthy showing and Sue's farm is rather impressive.

As for friendship alone on Facebook Abby and FHG, I'd love to have you both and anyone else from 5L2F as my FaceBook friends. I have had some quite lively dialogue with Vicki over Facebook. Vicki is a prolific poster regardless of the format. She is still the second most prolific poster on 5L2F.

As James has mentioned regarding blocking, you will need to do this if you do not wish to see Farmville posts as I am unable to hide them for individual friends from my end (to my knowledge). I have blocked quite a number of other games myself, as my neighbours do seem to enjoy a rather exorbitantly large number of them. It is easy to block games when you see a message come through that is clearly from the game in question. There is a link at the bottom which says something like 'block this app'. There is one beside it which says 'block this person' so don't use that one by mistake.

As for getting neighbours: once you have a friend or neighbour with a bunch of Farmville neighbours, it is easy enough to follow FaceBook neighbour suggestions to increase numbers if you need them for expansion or crops. Just make sure to mention Farmville in your friendship request message to target the Farmville people that they may respond accordingly to your interest in them. Visiting the Zynga forums (forums.zynga.com) was how I managed to increase my numbers in the first instance. They have interest groups well categorised there.

Thank you all for your intelligent and helpful comments.

Kind regards, nodrog.
